Molly - 6 (7) month update

Well, I meant to do a 6 month update for Molly, but here it is Oct 31 and she is already 7.5 months! It's been a busy fall for us as we've signed a contract on a new house, and put our current home up for sale so it's been quite hectic.

A lot has changed since my last Molly update! At her 6 month check up she weighed in at about 15lbs and is in the 25th percentile. She's pretty much following the same growth pattern as Edie of being a little munchkin. She still spits up A LOT, but since she is gaining weight at a steady pace and is otherwise very healthy we are just waiting it out to resolve itself. Edie did that up until 9 months, so hopefully we will see the end of that soon.

Molly is "a very active baby" as classified by our pediatrician. She already desperately wants to keep up with Edie. She started crawling at 6 months, and almost immediately started pulling up in her crib to stand up on her knees. She loves for me to hold her so she can stand, and she even tries to take steps when she's standing. Yes, that's right - trying to walk at 7 months! She is going to give me a run for my money. She tries to talk, which of course just sounds like babble. She's VERY vocal, which can sometimes be a bit overwhelming, but also sometimes very cute!

She's fallen into a pretty good nap routine, but at night she has completely regressed which is really hard. She was sleeping 10-11 hours a night up until just about 6 months, and now she gets up 1-2 times a night. She generally will go back down fairly easily but its still somewhat exhausting. Hoping we outgrow that soon too.

We started solids at around 5 months, and so far she'll pretty much eat anything. Her favorite is Yo Baby yogurt though! She still won't take a bottle,despite many attempts. I've pretty much given up on that now. I've gotten her to take milk from a sippy cup a time or 2 so though it seems odd for a baby as small as her to be taking her milk from a sippy, we'll probably just proceed with the path of least resistance. And in typical Molly form, she prefers the big girl regular sippys (just cup w/ spout) not the non-spill ones!

She loves Bathtime! Though we've now graduated from the baby tub, to either just in the sink, or in the big tub with Edie.

Edie loves to "dress" Molly up. Also note how she is surrounded by all of Edie's stuff animals! They love playing together, and it always makes me smile to watch how sweet Edie is with Molly, and how much Molly adores Edie. Molly is also pretty fascinated with Sadie too.
