Candyland

We celebrated Edie's 4th birthday earlier this week. I still cannot believe she is already 4!!! We had a little party at our house with Uncle Todd & Aunt B, Poppy & Tu, Aunt Erin, and the Sutherlands and the DeSensi's. Edie wanted a Candyland theme, so we made a life size candyland game in the backyard with all the scrap wood from our construction. The kids had a blast! Edie got her first big girl bike, and what she was most excited about was the barbie bike on the handlebar of it so one of her dolls can ride along! She was so excited about her birthday this year- she could not wait for it to be the last day of July!

Back to the Beach

We had to retreat to Florida again from all the construction going on at the house. It was a welcome break from all the chaos for the girls and I, and we really had a great trip to Oma & Opa's house. Oma flew up so she could drive down to Shalimar with us. She also drove back up to Kentucky with us afterwards and stayed for 2 weeks to help with the post-construction clean-up/organization. I don't know what we would do without her!

Short and sweet since there are lots of pics - my sister Lindsay and family came to visit us and we had a blast! The kids had not seen each other since Edie was almost 18 months old! They had a blast and we tried to show them some of the best of Louisville. Oma came up for the last day of their visit too! Edie was so excited to see her cousins and can't wait til we see them again in October!
