The birthday fairy
Here are a few pictures of Eeds, the big 3 year old, that we took when we were down in Florida.
I can't believe Edie is 3! She just started preschool and is going 3 mornings a week. She absolutely loves it, and stays an extra hour for lunch bunch on 2 of the days. She loves to play with her baby dolls, paint and color, play outside and especially going to playgrounds, and she loves to ride her tricycle. We may do one last semester of the music class, though I've been debating about whether or not to do it because its during Molly's nap. Edie keeps asking to go see Mrs. Sharon though so I should probably try to make it work.
Edie still has her imaginary friend Poke. She makes up little stories and things she does with Poke a lot. Yesterday she had to get all her rain gear back on and took her umbrella outside so she could bring Poke in from the car so he wouldn't get wet! She walked all the way out to the car in the rain, put her hood up and held the umbrella out next to her to keep Poke dry as they came in. :) Poke has a few friends that sometimes tag along - John and Donio. It really cracks me up that she named one of her imaginary friends after her dad!
We are working on getting her to drop the thumb sucking habit. John told her if she keeps sucking it, she will suck it off completely. And then he showed her Sadie's paws and said that is what happened to her. She is completely content with that though, and said she'd just rather not have any thumbs...so we are working on coming up with a new strategy.
