Catching up...

Well, we've had a busy September and October and I'm a little behind in blog posts! I'll try to catch up and keep things separated into several different posts. I'll keep this one as finishing up the summer. Although, the way the weather has been, it sort of still feels like summer at times.

The Kentucky State Fair is every August, and this year we took Edie and Uncle Todd & Aunt B came with us. It was HOT, but Edie still had a great time seeing all the animals and enjoying some fair food!

To end the summer, we took Edie up to Squire Boone Caverns on Labor Day weekend. Our good friends Chip & Nora went with us, and their daughters Abigail & Lucy who Edie absolutely adores. Edie loved it, and for weeks kept talking about how Daddy took her to see a waterfall (there was a waterfall down in the cave).

And also, Labor Day weekend was the big UK vs. UofL game, which the Cats won! We had several friends over to watch and let the kids run and play. The kids all had SO much fun and just ran and ran in circles around our yard - I was in awe at how much energy they had, and how well all the ages (age 2-6) played together. Although at one point we did catch them sneaking behind the garage to play "Sword in the Stone" with John's axe that was in a stump. Obviously, we quickly put an end to this activity!

And finally, the last trip to the pool for the summer. She loves the pool so much!
