Spring has sprung!

We are really enjoying spring and finally having some nice weather. Edie wasn't walking all that much last summer/fall so this is really the first she's had an opportunity to explore and play outside other than when she was crawling. She LOVES to play outside. She still really loves to take walks and to swing, especially in MJ & Grandpa's swing in their big tree. She also loves to help plant flowers and to rake. I got her this little picnic table, and she gets so excited to have her lunch or snacks outside.


Edie is almost 20 months now and is growing up so fast! She is talking quite a bit more and is interested in everything. Here's a list of her current words:

No (this is usually said to Sadie)

I'm sure I forgot a few, and there are probably many more she is trying to say that I just don't understand what they mean yet! She almost has a full mouth of teeth. It seems like she's been constantly cutting teeth since Christmas!

She has a major fascination with shoes. She says "shoe" all the time and is always playing with her shoes or trying on mine! She loves to try and walk Sadie on the leash herself (I only let her do this inside). She also still loves purses, and has quite nice taste for her age. Forget Disney or Dora themes - Her 2 favorites are 1) a Lilly Pulitzer purse she insisted we buy (thankfully it was at a consignment store) and 2) one of my Kate Spade purses. She also has quickly grown to love the Girl Scout Samoas cookies!

We are so excited for spring and for more nice weather to come. We look forward to playing outside more, Easter and an Easter Egg Hunt, the Cats still alive in the NCAA tournament (Elite 8 game vs. WVU tomorrow! GO BIG BLUE!), derby events, and we are especially excited about the trip we just booked to see Oma, Opa, and Big Edie down in Naples for Big Edie's 90th birthday in late April!
