Thanksgiving 2009

We went south for Thanksgiving this year, and enjoyed a wonderful holiday with Oma and Opa in Shalimar. The discovery of our packed and ready to go car being broken into made for a bit of a rough start. Thankfully, despite the loss of the DVD player to the thieves, we had a great trip and Edie proved once again to be a pretty easy going traveller. Having Sadie keep her company beats out a movie anyday!

Edie had lots of fun playing at Oma and Opa's. She espescially loved playing in their dining room windows, and really loved to sit on the window sill. I guess it's just the right height.

We had a busy few days at home. Edie ate her first grouper sandwich at Harbor Docks, and went shopping at the outlets. We enjoyed a big Maney family Thanksgiving Dinner, and then thanks to Oma and Opa's babysitting, John and I were able to join the rest of the Maney cousins in a long standing tradition of going to the movies after holiday meal, this time to see The Blind Side.

And the highlight of the trip was the Gulfarium! Edie loved the oversized aquariums, and clapped and danced while watching the sea lion and dolphin shows. She LOVED it! We also made a quick trip to the beach. It was pretty chilly, but Sadie enjoyed it anyway.
